Intertextuality
Postmodernism is seen as taking bits and pieces from places and then developing it into your own. This is a theory known as the 'pick and mix' theory for example mixing pop and rock music together. Postmodernism usually targets the codes and conventions of music. This would be like taking a music video and copying the main aspect of what every music video does and being sarcastic and using as a tool to make it seem enthusiastic. This is mainly used when people will take a music video, take the main aspect and then create their own fro example, gangnam style was a huge dance when it came out as it was comedic and unseen before so people in work, public, schools were making their own versions which was uploaded all around the world and advertised the music really for them.
