Auteur Theory
The auteur theory is when the director is perceived to be the creative force when making a motion picture,it was brought from France in the 1940s.
An example of a company who will have used this theory is Universal where the filmmakers would demand the final cut. This occurs when the directors oversee all the visual and audio as well as fundamental elements like lighting, shadows, background music and the location which is vital in the music video.
The example I have put in place is Despacito which was a part of Universal pictures and you can see the different elements of location and lighting incorporated into the video to try get the best out of it.
